Negotiable document evidencing a contract for the performance and/or procurement of performance of multimodal transport and delivery of goods, the taking in charge of the goods by the multimodal transport operator and an undertaking by him to deliver the goods in accordance with the terms of the contract. The document is issued by the Baltic and International Maritime Council, subject to the UNCTAD/ICC Rules for Multimodal Transport Documents, subject to the UNCTAD/ ICC Rules for Multimodal Transport Documents (ICC Publication No 481)
